Mental Health Issues in Nativity: A Traditional Overlook
In this presentation, DrLumen will share her research into western astrology theories for identifying mental health issues in nativity. Classical astrology had developed elaborate methods of assessing afflictions of the mind. It was done by analysis of afflictions to the Moon, Mercury, Part of Fortune, and Part of Spirit in the natal charts. We will review many case studies illustrating accuracy and usefulness of these techniques for understanding and dealing with various mental health issues.
Elena Lumen, PhD is a traditional astrologer, counselor, and astrology instructor. She is faculty at the International Academy of Astrology, where she teaches horary, predictive, and electional astrology. Dr Lumen frequently presents at various astrological organizations world wide. In addition to teaching and consulting, she hosts multiple astrology practice groups. In 2011, she defended her dissertation on the value and appeal of astrology as a system of meaning at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in California. The results of her research were published in the NCGR and ISAR magazines. She teaches horary and electional astrology for the IAA and her own school Lumen School of Traditional astrology.
