"Just like the names “quincunx and yod” what they really mean can be puzzling, as they don't fit into the usual descriptors given to aspects like hard or soft aspect, active or passive, flowing or resistant, positive or negative, or even major or minor. As soon as you define it, it slips through one of the cracks, hence both the challenge and fun in trying to understand this."
Manda Selva, C.A., NCGR-PAA, practices astrology and psychotherapy in the San Francisco Bay Area. Aided by her educational background in science, she is passionate about applying evidence-based methods and in astrological research. She is currently the research director of NCGR, and was instrumental in the publication of the 2022 edition of the research journal of NCGR, Syzygy. She does astrological consulting, has published articles in astrological journals, magazines, and in her own blog, Astromanda.com (http://astromanda.com/). She has presented her research in NCGR and ISAR symposia, and teaches through
webinars.
